National Artist for Architecture Bobby Mañosa pumanaw na
Pumanaw na sa edad na 88 ang National Artist for Architecture na si Franciso “Bobby” Mañosa.
Ang pagpanaw ni Mañosa ay inanunsyo ng kanyang anak na si Gelo sa pamamagitan ng isang Facebook post.
Itinaguyod ng national artist ang Filipino architecture sa loob ng 40 taon.
Kabilang sa mga hindi malilimutang likha ni Mañosa ay ang Coconut Palace, EDSA Shrine, Davao Pearl Farm at Amanpulo resorts.
Ang pagbuo sa Coconut Palace ang dahilan para bansagan si Mañosa na ‘Father of Philippine Neo-vernacular architecture.
Noong Oktubre noong nakaraang taon ay nagawaran ang arkitekto ng National Artist Award.
Ibuburol ang mga labi ni Mañosa sa Heritage Memorial Park simula ngayong araw ng Huwebes at ang libing naman ay sa Pebrero 24 sa Libingan ng mga Bayani.
