Malacañang: Infra projects ng gobyerno tuloy kahit sa panahon ng eleksyon

Hihirit ng exception sa Commission on Elections (Coemelec) ang economic team ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para sa 145 locally-funded projects.

Kasabay ito ng pagpapatupad ng government spending ban kaugnay sa nalalapit na 2019 midterm elections.

Mula Marso 29 hanggang May 12 ay ipatutupad ang pagbabawal sa paglalabas ng pondo sa lahat ng public works project alinsunod sa alintuntunin sa election code.

Sinabi ni Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno na nabalangakas na ng economic team na kinabibilangan nina Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III at  Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia ang request sa Comelec para hindi mabalam ang pondo sa mga key-projects ng gobyerno.

Kabilang sa mga proyekto ito ay matatagpuan sa Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).

Sa kabuuan ay aabot sa P500 Billion ang pondo para sa nasabing mga proyekto na nakapaloob sa Build Build Build program ng gobyerno.
