25-year extension ng private telecom franchise ng INC aprub kay Duterte

Inaprubahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagpapalawig ng 25-taon para sa prangkisa ng private radio telecommunication service ng Iglesia ni Cristo (INC).

Nilagdaan ng pangulo ang Republic Act No. 11219 noong February 14, 2019, bilang amyenda sa naunang  Republic Act No. 7225 na nagbibigay pahintulot sa INC na magtayo, mag-operate at magmantine ng pribadong mga himpilan ng radyo, telecommunications at electronic service sa bansa.

Pinalawig rin ng pangulo ang 25-year franchise ng Monte Oro Resources and Energy Power and Electric Co. (MORE Power); at Malindang Broadcasting Network Corporation.

Laman ng Republic Act 11212 na pinirmahan rin ng pangulo noong February 14, 2019, ang pagbibigay pahintulot sa MORE Power na manguna sa electricity distribution sa Iloilo City.

Samantala, pinirmahan rin ni Duterte franchise extension ng Ermita Electronics Incorporated para sa dagdag na 25 na taon sa pamamagitan ng Republic Act No. 11204 na kanyang nilagdaan noong February 14, 2019.

Nakasaad sa nasabing franchise extension, “Ermita Electronics was mandated to carry out excavation and restoration works for “maintaining poles and other supports for wires or other conductors and for other purpose of laying and maintaining underground wires, cables pipes and to make excavations or lay conduits in any of the public places”.
