NFA Council, tatalakayin ang IRR para sa rice traffication law
Magpupulong ang National Food Authority Council para talakayin ang implementing rules and regulationgs (IRR) ng rice traffication law.
Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni NFA officer-in-charge Administrator Tomas Escarez na magsisimula ang pulong sa araw ng Lunes (February 18).
Layon ng batas na tanggalin ang quantitative restrictions sa pag-import ng bigas.
Ayon kay Escarez, kabilang sa mga pag-uusapan ang umano’y “gray areas” sa ahensya at kung paano maisusulong ang mandato nito.
Maliban dito, hindi pa rin aniya malinaw kung maaalis ang regulatory powers ng NFA at kung mananatili ang NFA para sa buffer stocking.
