PMA humirit ng dagdag na special unit para sa seguridad sa Alumni Homecoming ngayong weekend

Humiling ng karagdagang special unit ang Philippine Military Academy (PMA) para matiyak ang kaayusan sa campus.

Libu-libong bisita kasi ang inaasahang dadalo sa 2019 PMA Alumni Homecoming sa Fort Gregorio del Pilar sa Baguio City ngayong weekend.

Ayon kay PMA Information Officer, Lt. Col. Harry Baliaga Jr., dapat paigtingin ang seguridad kasunod ng mga naganap na pambobomba sa Mindanao.

Binanggit ni Baliaga ang naging security lapses sa mga nakalipas na linggo partikular sa Jolo, Sulu.

Kasunod nito, inabisuhan ng opisyal ang mga turista na pansamantalang iwasan ang lugar.

Nagdagdag aniya ng parking area sa labas ng PMA.

Tinatayang aabot sa 2,000 alumni ang inaasahang dadalo kasama pa ang mahigit-kumulang 4,000 kamag-anak at kaibigan.

Inaasahan ang pagdalo nina Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director Oscar Albayalde, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief of staff Benjamin Madrigal Jr. at iba pang matataas na opisyal.

Magsisilbi namang speaker ng event si Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu.
