1,388 naaresto ng PNP sa paglabag sa gun ban

Umabot na sa 1,388 ang nadakip ng Philippine National Police (PNP) dahil sa paglabag sa election gun ban.

Ayon kay PNP Spokesperson Sr. Supt. Bernard Banac, ang nasabing mga lumabag ay nadakip sa pinaigting na checkpoints sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa mula nang mag-umpisa ang election period.

Mayroon namang nakumpiskang 21 light weapons, 47 na replica o toy gun, 74 na granada at 364 na IEDs mula noong Jan. 13.

Sinabi ni Banac na mayroon ding nakumpiskang 9,037 na mga bala at 9,939 na iba pang deadly weapons gaya ng patalim.
