Yul Benosa bagong commissioner ng UAAP Season 81 volleyball tournament
Itinalagang commissioner ng UAAP Season 81 volleyball tournament ang longtime referee na si Yul Benosa.
Inanunsyo ng host school na National University ang pagpili kay Benosa araw ng Huwebes, dalawang araw bago ang pagsisimula ng torneo o sa araw ng Sabado sa Filoil Flying V Arena.
Hindi na baguhan sa volleyball tournament si Benosa matapos magsilbing chief referee ng UAAP sa nagdaang sampung taon.
Nanungkulan din ito sa ilang international tournaments kabilang ang Asian Men’s Club Championships sa Maynila noong 2014 at ASEAN University Games sa Singapore noong 2016.
Si Benosa ay nagtapos sa University of Santo Tomas.
Nakatulong ito upang masungkit ng Tigers ang tatlong men’s volleyball titles mula 1989 hanggang 1991 at inirepresenta ang Pilipinas sa iba pang torneo hanggang 1993.
