Ayon sa Phivolcs, ang episentro ng lindol ay sa layong limang kilometro Timog-Silangan ng bayan ng Catigbian.
May lalim itong 11 kilometro at tectonic ang dahilan.
Hindi naman inaasahang magkakaroon ng aftershocks at hindi rin ito nagdulot ng pinsala sa ari-arian.
