Dating Iloilo Gov. Niel Tupas Sr., pumanaw na sa edad na 82
Pumanaw sa edad na 82 si dating Iloilo governor Niel Tupas Sr. sa Philippine Heart Center sa Quezon City, Martes ng umaga.
Sa kaniyang Facebook account, sinabi ni Iloilo Rep. Niel Tupas Jr., na ala 1:35 pumanaw ang kaniyang ama na mayroong karamdaman.
“At 1:35am this morning November 24,2015, our dearest tatay, Niel D. Tupas Sr., returned to his Creator. He is now at peace with God. Thank you for all your love, prayers, and support. We love you, tatay. You will always live in our hearts,” ayon sa nakababatang Tupas.
Si Tupas Sr., ay nanilbihang gobernador at kinatawan sa lalawigan ng Iloilo. Naging Alkalde rin siya sa bayan ng Barotac, Viejo.
Nagtapos si Tupas Sr., ng Bachelor of Law at naging kauna-unahang presidente ng Municipal Mayors’ League of Iloilo noong 1973 at ng Municipal Mayors’ League of the Philippines.
