Pagtaas sa presyo ng isda, prutas at gulay isinisi sa kakulangan ng suplay
Kailangang panatilihin ang sapat na suplay ng mga pangunahing bilihin sa mga palengke para mapanatili ang maayos na presyo ng mga ito ayon sa pahayag ng Department of Finance.
Sa sa economic bulletin ng DOR, sinabi ni Finance Undersecretary at chief economist Gil Beltran na bahagyang tumaas sa 0.3 percent ang halaga ng isda, prutas at gulay sa nakalipas na mga buwan.
Ito ay resulta umano ng kakulangan ng nasabing mga produkto sa merkado.
“Productivity programs need to be implemented to reverse the price increases of fish, fruits and vegetables,” ayon pa kay Beltran.
Inihalimbawa ng opisyal ang pagbaba sa presyo ng mais, bigas at asukal makaraang dumami ang suplay ng mga ito sa mga palengke na nagresulta sa mabilis na pagbaba sa presyo.
“Inflation is mainly supply-side driven. The inflation decline was due to the streamlining of the supply chain, including that for imported goods, upon the President’s signing of several administrative orders and memorandum circulars on Sept. 21,” dagdag pa ni Beltran.
Hinikayat rin ng opisyal ang Bureau of Customs na ayusin ang kanilang sistema para mapabilis ang pagpasok sa bansa ng ilang imported food items na magreresulta rin sa pagbaba ng presyo ng mga ito sa merkado.
