Measles alert nakataas sa buong bansa – DOH

Itinaas ng Department of Health (DOH) ang measles alert sa buong bansa.

Kasunod ito ng deklarasyon ng DOH na may outbreak na ng tigdas sa buong Metro Manila at sa Region 3.

Ayon kay Health Assistant Sec. Eric Tayag, inaasahan ang pagdami pa ng kaso ng tigdas kaya minabuting itaas ang alerto.

Pinayuhan din ni Tayag ang mga lokal na pamahalaan na tiyaking bukas ang kanilang health centers para sa mga nais magpabakuna.

Ito ay makaraang lumitaw sa datos na 90 percent ng mga nagka-tigdas ay walang bakuna kontra sa nasabing sakit.
