Makati City binigyan ng Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping ng DILG
Malugod na tinanggap ni Makati City Mayor Abby Binay ang Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping (SGFH) certification na ibinigay ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Sinabi ni Binay na isang malaking karangalan at pagkilala ang kanilang tinanggap mula sa DILG at ito ay magbibigay sa kanila ng inspirasyon para mas lalo pang pagbutihin ang kanilang trabaho.
Patunay rin umano ang nasabing karangalan na maayos na nagagamit sa mga proyekto ang malaking pondo ng lungsod.
Sa ilalim ng SGFH, sinusuri kung gaano kahusay sumunod ng isang lokal na pamahalaan sa mga itinakdang accounting at auditing standards, rules at regulations.
Bahagi ng criteria para sa SGFH ang Unqualified o Qualified Opinion mula sa Commission on Audit (COA) sa sinundang taon, pati na ang pagtalima sa Full Disclosure Policy of Local Budget and Finances, Bids and Public Offerings, kabilang ang Annual Budget, Statement of Receipts and Expenditures, Annual Procurement Plan or Procurement List, at Bid Results On Civil Works, Goods and Services and Consulting Services.
Para sa naturang pagkilala, ang isang lokal na pamahalaan ay sinusuri sa mga aspeto ng Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, Peace and Order, at Environmental Management.
