Nakumpiska ng Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) ang isang daang pares ng counterfeit PNP rubber shoes sa isang entrapment operation sa Quezon City.
Nagkakahalaga ang mga nakuhang counterfeit shoes ng P170,000.
Ang mga orihinal na pares ng sapatos ay eksklusibo para sa mga miyembro ng P-N-P o Philippine National Police.
Nakatanggap ng reklamo ang pulisya mula sa J-P Group of Companies Incorporated na isa sa mga opisyal na manufacturer ng PNP rubber shoes.
Ayon sa kumpanya, ibinebenta ang mga sapatos sa ilang shoe outlets.
Dahil dito, naaresto ang tatlong suspek na nag-deliver ng mga counterfeit shoes sa isang undercover police officer.
Nakilala ang mga suspek na sina Mark Corporal, 33-anyos; Lorenzo Celestial, 35-anyos; at Rail Ramirez, 25-anyos.
