SC at Cebu City government lumagda sa deed of donation para sa pagpapatayo ng judiciary complex
Nilagdaan na ng Korte Suprema at ng Cebu City government ang Deed of Donation para sa mahigit 15- libo square meter na South Road Properties sa Cebu City na pagtatayuan ng Judiciary Complex.
Sa Judiciary Complex, itatayo ang Court of Appeals Cebu City station gayundin ang Regional Trial Courts at Municipal Trial Courts sa Cebu City.
Doon rin matatagpuan ang mga hearing rooms ng Sandiganbayan, training center para sa mga hukom at court personnel sa Visayas, at ang Office of the Deputy Court Administrator for the Visayas.
Pinangunahan ni Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin ang aktibidad.
Sina Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez at Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña naman ang lumagda sa deed of donation.
Nagpasalamat si Bersamin sa Cebu City government sa pagdonate sa nasabing property dahil sa mas magkakaroon ng malaking working space ang CA at mga trial courts.
Hindi na rin anya kailangan ng mga litigants na bumiyahe sa ibat-ibang lokasyon dahil nasa Judiciary complex na ang CA at Cebu City trial courts.
Inihayag din ni Bersamin na magsisimula sa lalong madaling panahon ang konstruksyon ng Cebu City Hall of Justice.
