Muling itinalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sina Interior and Local Government secretary Eduardo Año at Social Welfare secretary Rolando Bautista.
Ito ay habang naghihintay pa ng approval ang dalawang kalihim mula sa makapangyarihang Commission on Appointments (CA).
Nilagdaan ng pangulo ang ad interim reappointment papers nina Año at Bautista noong December 14, 2018 ilang araw bago nag-adjourn ang sesyon ng Kongreso.
Nilagdaan din ng pangulo ang ad interim appointment ni Civil Service Commission (CSC) commissioner Aileen Lizada na dating board member ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Papalit naman sa iniwang puwesto ni Lizada si dating Police Highway Patrol Group head Antonio Gardiola Jr.
Itinalaga rin ng pangulo sina Noel Eugene Servigon bilang Ambassador to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations at Ma. Teresita Daza bilang Ambassador to Chile with concurrent jurisdiction sa Ecuador at Peru.
