Higit 45 tonelada ng basura, nahakot ng MMDA sa Manila Bay

Nakakolekta ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ng mahigit-kumulang 45 tonelada ng basura sa ikinasang cleanup drive sa Manila Bay.

Sa inilabas na datos ng MMDA, araw ng Linggo, kabuuang 45.59 na tonelada ang nakuha kung saan nakuha ang 11 trak.

Nasa 5,000 ang nakiisa sa isinagawang solidarity walk sa bahagi ng Manila Baywalk bilang hudyat ng pagsisimula ng rehabilitasyon.

Kabilang sa mga sumama sa programa sina Environmental Secretary Roy Cimatu, Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año at Public Works Secretary Mark Villar.

Aabot ng P42.95 bilyon ang pondo ng proyekto sa susunod na tatlong taon.
