Kinoronahan ang pambato ng Pilipinas na si Karen Gallman bilang Miss Intercontinental 2018.
Sa coronation night na idinaos sa Mall of Asia Arena kagabi (January 27), tinalo ni Gallman ang mahigit walumpung kandidata mula sa iba’t ibang bansa.
Sa Q&A, natanong kay Gallman na “How do you define success?”
Ang kanyang naging tugon, ” For me, success is not just about winning in life. It is setting goals, small goals, and achieving your dreams and working hard. And always looking up to God and being thankful for everything. For me, that is success.”
Sa pagkapanalo ni Gallman, siya ang kauna-unahang Pinay beauty queen na nakakuha ng titulo bilang Miss Intercontinental.
1st runner-up naman si Adriana Moya Alvarado ng Costa Rica at 2nd runner-up si Laura Longauerova ng Solvak Republic.
3rd runner-up si Hillary Hollmann ng Colombia; 4th runner-up si Ngan Anh Au Le ng Vietnam; 5th runner-up si Bella Lire Lapso ng Ethiopa.
