Nanaig ang botong ‘yes’ sa Cotabato City para maratipikahan ang Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL).
Sa huling tala ng Cotabato City Plebiscite Board of Canvassers (CPBOC) dakong 8:44, Martes ng gabi, 59 porsyento o 36,682 na botante ang pumabor habang 24,994 naman ang bumoto ng ‘no’ mula sa 374 na presinto sa lungsod.
Mayroong kabuuang 113,751 na botante sa loob ng 37 na barangay sa Cotabato.
Dahil dito, nagdiwang ang mga tagasuporta at sumigaw pa ng “Allahu Akbar” sa loob at labas ng canvassing area.
Agad namang isusumite ng CPBOC ang mga certificate of canvass at summary ng mga boto sa central office ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa Intramuros, Manila.
Ayon kay election officer Romel Rama, iaanunsiyo ang opisyal na resulta ng National Board of Canvassers at hihintayin ang pormal na deklarasyon.
