Pilipinas pinautang ng bilyun-bilyong piso ng Japan para maisaayos ang Pasig-Marikina River Project

Masisimulan na ang Phase IV ng Pasig-Marikina River Channel Improvement Project.

Lumagda na sa kasunduan ang Pilipinas at ang Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) para pondohan ang Pasig-Marikina River Channel Improvement Project Phase IV.

Nakapaloob sa kasunduan ang pautang na P18.223-Billion o katumbas ng 37.905 Billion Japanese yen.

Kabilang sa mga lumagda sa kasunduan ay sina Finance Secretary Carlos G. Dominguez at JICA Southeast Asia and Pacific Department Director General Shigenori Ogawa na.sinaksihan nina Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar at Japan Embassy to Manila Minister and Consul General Atsushi Kuwabara.
