‘eSakay’ inilunsad ng Meralco at DOTr
Inilunsad ng Meralco at ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) ang ‘esakay’ na bibiyahe sa Makati at sa Mandaluyong City.
Simula ngayong araw, Jan. 18, labinglimang eSakay electric jeepneys ang maari nang masakyan ng mga pasahero sa Buendia MRT Station patungong Mandaluyong City Hall at pabalik.
P9.00 ang pamasahe sa eSakay jeepney.
Ang launching ay dinaluhan ng mga opisyal ng Meralco, kinatawan mula sa DOTr, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), at ni Makati City Mayor Abby Binay.
Ang mga e-jeepney ay kayang makapagsakay ng 40 pasahero at ang fully charged unit ay kayang makabiyahe ng hanggang 100 kilometero.
Ayon sa Meralco, 100 percent electric ang mga sasakyan na mayroon ding onboard Wifi, automated ang fare collection system, may GPS tracking system at may CCTV cameras.
