Joint Security Preparation Meeting, isinagawa para sa May 2019 elections
Nagpulong ang Commission on Elections o Comelec, National Capital Region Police Office o NCRPO at Joint Task Force-National Capital Region o JTF-NCR para sa paghahanda sa seguridad sa May 2019 midterm elections.
Sa naturang Joint Security Preparation Meeting, na ginanap sa Quezon City ngayong Biyernes (January 18), dumalo sina NCRPO Chief Guillermo Eleazar at mga pinuno ng police districts sa NCR, at kinatawan ng Comelec.
Ayon kay Eleazar, sa ngayon ay wala silang natatanggap na impormasyon ukol sa banta sa seguridad sa Metro Manila.
Pero patuloy aniya ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng NCRPO sa Intelligence Community at iba pang ahensya upang tiyakin ang maayos at ligtas na halalan sa Mayo.
Sinabi rin ni Eleazar na wala pang lugar sa NCR na maituturing na “election hotspot”, ngunit patuloy din ang kanilang monitoring.
