Pagbuo ng oversight committee on urban poor pinag-aaralan na ng Kamara
Binabalangkas na ni House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ang pagbuo ng bagong Oversight Committee on Urban Poor Housing.
Trabaho ng lilikhaing oversight committee ay magmonitor ng pagpapatupad ng Republic Act 9207 o ang National Government Center Housing and Land Utilization Act of 2003.
Itatatag ang oversight committee dahil sa ilang mga natitirang problema sa mga ini-award na lupa sa urban poor families sa Barangay Holy Spirit sa Quezon City.
Ilan sa mga problema ay land-grabbing at hindi natapos na mga reblocking sa mga properties.
Ang oversight committee sa RA 9207 ay pamumunuan ni Environment and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Rodrigo Abellanosa.
Ang pagbuhay muli ng oversight committee ng Kamara ay kasunod ng anunsyo ng Mababang Kapulungan na gagawin na nito ang kanilang oversight functions para matiyak ang pagpapatupad sa mga batas, proyekto at programa ng pamahalaan.
Naisabatas ang RA 9207 noong presidente pa si Speaker GMA.
