Napigilan ng pinagsanib na pwersa ng Philippine Army at Philippine National Police (PNP) ang tangkang pagbobomba sa ilang lugar sa Sultan Kudarat matapos makumpiska ang mga improvised bombs at triggering device sa Bgy. Damakling alas 5:00 Sabado ng umaga.
Ayon kay Lt. Col. Harold M Cabunoc, Commanding Officer of the 33rd Infantry (Makabayan) Battalion, nagsagawa ang kanyang unit ng counter-terrorist operations matapos malaman na mayroong mga bomba sa isang liblib na barangay sa bayan ng Pagalad.
“Our informant showed us the pictures of terrorist bombers Ustadz Yasser Saligan and his cohort, Sheik Makakena a.k.a. Abu Jihad as they detonated a bomb to test its lethality. We had been tracking the suspects since November 2018,” ani Cabunoc.

Arestado ang 5 katao na nagulat sa raid ng mga sundalo at SAF commandos. Narekober sa mga suspek ang 4 na improvised bombs at 3 Cal .45 M1911AI Pistol.
Pero nakatakas ang 2 sa mga pangunahing suspek na sina Abu Jihad at Ustadz na tumalon sa Liguasan Marsh nang makita ang tropa ng gobyerno habang ang mga naarestong suspek ay tinurn-over sa mga opisyal ng barangay matapos makumpirma ang kanilang pagkakilanlan.
