Mahigit 70 kilo ng meat products nasabat ng BOC at BAI sa Clark Airport

Sa loob ng isang buwan umabot sa mahigit 70 kilo ng pork, poultry at beef products ang nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) at Bureau of Animal and Industry (BAI) sa Clark International Airport.

Ito ay mula noong Dec. 1,2 018 hanggang January 8, 2019 kaugnay ng paghihigpit sa pagpasok sa bansa ng mga pork products dahil sa African Swine Fever outbreak sa ibang mga bansa.

Ayon sa ulat ng BAI, umabot sa 31.5 kilograms ng pork products, 18.5 kilos ng Beef products at 22.3 kilograms ng poultry products ang kanilang nakumpiska.

ITo ay dahil sa kawalan ng import permit o sanitary import clearance.

Ang mga pasaherong nakuhanan ng mga nasabat na produkto ay galing sa South Africa, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Spain at USA.

Kabilang sa pinahigpit na security measures sa Clark Airport ay ang madatory x-ray inspection sa mga bagahe at physical examination ng mga marked luggages.

Naglagay na din ng foot baths ang BAI sa entry points ng paliparan.

Ang mga nakumpiskang karne ay susunugin para masigurong hindi na mailalabas sa merkado.
