AFP, PNP at Comelec, nagpulong para sa BOL plebiscite at May 2019 elections

Magsasanib-pwersa ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP) at Commission on Elections (Comelec) para sa matiwasay na pagsasagawa ng plebesito sa Bangsamoro Organic Law at May 2019 midterm elections.

Huwebes ng umaga ay nagsama-sama ang AFP, PNP at Comelec para sa National Joint Security Coordinating Center Meeting hinggil sa BOL plebiscite at halalan sa Mayo.

Present sa pulong na ginanap sa Kampo Krame sina AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Benjamin Madrigal, PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde at mga kinatawan ng Comelec.

Tiniyak ni Madrigal na nakalatag na ang security measures, lalo na sa Mindanao kung saan umiiral pa rin ang martial law.

May sapat din aniyang bilang ng mga sundalo para sa “peaceful conduct” ng BOL plebiscite at 2019 midterm polls.

Sa panig naman ng Comelec, magsasagawa sila ng information drive bago ang BOL plebiscite at maaaring irekumenda na isailalim ang Cotabato City sa Comelec control, makaraan ang December 31, 2018 bombing na ikinamatay ng dalawa katao.

Ang plebesito para sa BOL ay tuloy na sa January 21, 2019, makaraang hindi makapagpalabas ang Korte Suprema ng temporary restraining order o TRO laban sa BOL.
