Rescue helicopter sa UAE bumagsak; 4 patay
Bumagsak ang isang rescue helicopter malapit sa world’s longest zipline sa Ras-al Khaimah sa United Arad Emirates (UAE).
Ayon sa National Search and Rescue Center ng bansa, patay ang apat na crew na sakay ng chopper.
Kinilala ang mga nasawi na sina Saqr Saeed Mohamed Abdullah al-Yamahi at Hameed Mohamed Obaid al-Zaabi, mga piloto ng chopper; Jasim Abdullah Ali Tunaiji, navigator at paramedic na si Mark Roxburgh.
Sa video footages, makikitang nasusunog ang rescue helicopter sa bundok.
Sa ulat ng local newspaper na The National, sinabing tumama ito sa isang kable bago mawalan ng kontrol at tuluyang bumagsak.
Hindi naman nagkomento ang tourism authorities tungkol sa insidente habang isinasagawa ang imbestigasyon na ipinag-utos ni Sheikh Saud bin Saqr al-Qasimi, ruler ng Ras-al Khaimah.
