Mula Jan. 1, 2019 gamot sa diabetes, high-cholesterol, at hypertension hindi na papatawan ng VAT

Simula sa January 1, 2019 hindi na papatawan ng value added tax ang mga gamot sa diabetes, high-cholesterol, at hypertension.

Ito ang inanunsyo ng Department of Finance bilang bahagi ng Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion o TRAIN Law.

Ayon sa DOF, ang access sa healthcare at mas murang gamot ay isa sa mga probisyon sa ilalim ng TRAIN.

Dahil dito, simula sa Jan. 1 inaasahang bababa ang presyo ng gamot para sa diabetes, mataas na cholesterol, at hypertension.
