NPA, hindi sinunod ang kanilang idineklarang ceasefire ngayong Pasko

Hindi sinunod ng New People’s Army (NPA) ang kanilang idineklarang holiday ceasefire ngayong Pasko ayon sa
Philippine Army.

Ito ay dahil nagkaroon ng sagupaan sa mismong araw ng Pasko.

Ayon sa Commander ng Army’s 202nd Infantry Brigade na si Brigadier General Arnulfo Marcelo Burgos Jr., ay
ipinagbigay alam ng mga tao sa kanilang nine-man squad na nagsasagawa ng security patrol sa Rodriguez, Rizal.
ang plano ng NPA na atakehin ang Macaingalan Patrol Base sa Barangay Puray.

Dahil sa engkwentro ay sugatan ang isang miyembro ng CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA).

Una ng idineklara ng central committee ng Communist Party of the Philippines ang temporary ceasefire mula 12:01 am
ng December 24 hanggang 11:59 pm ng December 26.

Ito naman ay mauulit sa darating na 12:01 am ng December 31 hanggang 11:59 pm ng January 1 ng susunod na taon.
