DOTr: Lahat ng airport personnel isasalang sa mahigpit na background check
Magdaragdag ng security protocol ang Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) para sa kaligtasan ng publiko sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Ito ay bilang pagsunod sa naging rekomendasyon ng Transport Security Administration (TSA) ng US.
Sinabi ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na nagsagawa ng ilang buwang assessment sa procedures, personnel at maging sa security equipment ng paliparan ang TSA mula September 26 hanggang December 5.
At base sa kanilang rekomendasyon ay sinabi ng TSA na kailanga ng “enhancement” sa security protocol kasama na dito ang pagsilip ng husto sa background ng mga bumubuo sa airport security team.
Bukod sa NBI at Police clearance, dadaan na rin sa backsgound check ng National Interlligence Coordinating Agency (NIC) ang lahat ng mga bibigyan ng MIAA all access pass.
Sinabi ng DOTr na bibili rin sila ng dagdag na mga CCTVs at fire alarms para sa lahat ng terminals ng NAIA.
Pati ang mga tauhan ng mga tindahang nasa loob ng paliparan ay dadaan rin sa mahigpit na security background bilang pagsunod sa rekomendasyon ng TSA.
