Election management system file para sa 2019 elections nasa pangangalaga na ng IT department ng Comelec
Bilang paghahanda sa 2019 midterm elections, inilipat ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa kustodiya ng kanilang Information Technology Department ang trusted build executable file para sa Election Management System (EMS).
Ayon kay Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez, ang nasabing file ay nasa isang selyadong envelope na nakalagay naman sa loob ng isang ballot box.
Ang EMS file na nasa 8th floor ng lobby ng Palacio del Gobernador kung saan naroon ang tanggapan ng Comelec ay inilipat sa isang secure vault ng kanilang IT Department.
Ang nasabing hakbang ay sinaksihan ng isang kinatawan ng accredited Citizen’s Arm.
Para mas matiyak din umano ang transparency sa nasabing hakbang, ito ay mapapanood nang naka-live stream sa facebook page ng Comelec.
