Post ng PH website na si Pang. Duterte ang dahilan ng pagkabalik ng Balangiga Bells, fake news
Peke ang post ng isang news website sa Pilipinas na nagsasabing ibinalik sa bansa ang Balangiga Bells dahil kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Na-detect ng French news agency na Agence France Presse (AFP) ang “Insider” website na nagbahagi ng post umano ni US diplomat Daniel Russel na may mensaheng “We returned the Balangiga Bells because of Duterte.”
Ayon sa AFP, ang fake report ay kopya ng December 11 article na lumabas sa ABS-CBN news.
Pero ang huling dalawang paragraph ng orihinal na report, kung saan nakasaad ang mensahe ni US Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim ay pinalitan ng pahayag mula kay Russel.
Sa pagsasaliksik ng AFP, nabatid na ang larawan ay kuha mula sa 2014 article ng Chinese news organization na Xinhua.
Pero nakumpirma ng French news agency mula sa US Embassy sa Pilipinas na hindi na diplomat si Russel.
Ang fake news ay mahigit 6,000 beses nang na-share ng mga Facebook pages at grupo na sumusuporta kay Duterte na mayroong mahigit 2 milyong followers batay sa datos ng CrowdTangle.
