Bagong AFP Chief of Staff magsisimula sa serbisyo ngayong araw

Ngayong araw ng Martes magsisimula sa kanyang trabaho si Lieutenant General Benjamin Madrigal, Jr. bilang bagong Chief of Staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Magkakaroon ng change of command ceremony mamayang alas-3 ng hapon sa Lapu-Lapu Grandstand sa Camp Aguinaldo.

Inaasahang darating sa naturang seremonya si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte bilang panauhing pandangal at speaker.

Pamumunuan ni Madrigal ang nasa 135,000 mga miyembro militar.

Bago itinalaga bilang ika-50 pinuno ng Sandatahang Lakas, nanungkulan muna ang opisyal bilang commander ng Armed Forces Eastern Mindanao Command.

Papalitan ni Madrigal si General Carlito Galvez, Jr. na magreretiro na bukas, araw ng Miyerkules sa edad na 56.
