Pinayuhan ng Malakanyang si Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founding chairman Jose Maria Sison na umuwi ng Pilipinas para personal na busisiiin ang independent foreign policy ng bansa.

Pahayag ito ng Malakanyang matapos sabihin ni Sison na maaring magkautang ang China sa Pilipinas ng $177 Bilyon bilang upa at bayad sa danyos sa South China Sea.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, batid kasing walang alam si Sison sa tunay na kalagayan ng Pilipinas dahil sa mahigit tatlong dekada ng marangyang pamumuhay sa Europa.
