P9B ilalaan ng gobyerno para sa mga health workers
Maglalaan ang pamahalaan ng P9 bilyon para sa pagdedeploy ng mahigit 13,000 mga health workers sa buong bansa.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Surigao del Sur Representative Johnny Pimentel na ang naturang bilang ay ipakakalat sa mga mahirap maabot na mga komunidad.
Aniya, 9,138 na mga nurse; 3,650 na mga kumadrona; 243 mga doktor; at 241 mga dentista ang ipapadala ng Department of Health (DOH) sa iba’t ibang mga liblib na lugar.
Inaasahang magsisimula ang deployment ng naturang mga health professionals sa pagbubukas ng 2019.
Paliwanag ng mambabatas, upang makakuha ng sapat na mga medical professionals, kukuha ang DOH mula sa mga programa ng pamahalaan gaya ng Doctors to the Barrios (DTTB), Medical Pool Placement and Utilization Program (MP-PUP), Registered Nurses for Health Enhancement and Local Service (RN Heals), Rural Health Midwives Program (RHMP), at Rural Health Team Placement Program (RHTPP).
