Dalawa pang bagong fast patrol boat ng Coast Guard dumating na sa bansa

Dumating na sa Subic Port ang dalawang 24-meter Fast Patrol Boats (FPB) ng Philippine Coast Guard.

Sa pagdating ng dalawang patrol boats, nakumpleto na ang apat na bahagi ng pagpapatupad ng Philippine Ports and Coast Guard Capability Development Project ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Tatawaging BRP Malamawi (FPB 2403) at BRP Kalanggaman (FPB 2404) ang dalawang bagong dating na mga bangka.

Samantala, isa pang 82-meter Offshore Patrol Vessel naman ang nakatakdang dumating sa bansa August 2019.

Ayon sa coast guard, ang pagbili ng mga bagong sasakyang pandagat ay bahagi ng kontratang nilagdaan ng DOTr sa marine technology expert at ship-builder na naka-base sa France.

Layon nitong palakasin pa ang maritime safety at security, at ang marine environmental protection sa Pilipinas.
