PNP at AFP pormal nang inirekomenda ang martial law extension
Pormal nang inirekomenda ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang pagpapalawig ng martial law sa Mindanao ng 1 pang taon.
Opisyal nang pinirmahan ng PNP at AFP ang dokumento na nagrerekomenda ng extension ng batas militar sa rehiyon.
Ayon kay PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde, lumagda sila ni outgoing AFP chief of staff General Carlito Galvez Jr. sa dokumento para tumagal pa ng 1 taon ang martial law.
Ang naturang dokumento aniya ay pinirmahan Martes December 4.
Inirekomenda ng pulisya at militar ang ikatlong extension ng martial law.
Sinabi ni Albayalde na dahil sa martial law ay bumuti ang sitwasyon sa Mindanao kung saan bumaba ang krimen sa 32.8%.
Nais ng gobyerno na tumagal pa hanggang December 31, 2019 ang batas militar dahil sa problema sa New People’s Army sa rehiyon.
