Military forces sa buong NCR inilagay na sa Blue alert para sa APEC

Isinailalim na sa Blue Alert ang buong pwersa ng militar dito sa Metro Manila.

Ipinaliwanag ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) spokesman Col. Noel Detoyato na sakop ng nasabing alerto ang Philippine Navy Headquarters sa Maynila, Philippine Air Force Headquarters sa Villamor Airbase sa Pasay City at Philippine Army Headquarters sa Fort Bonifacio sa Taguig.

Pero tiniyak ng tagapagsalita ng AFP na tuloy ang kanilang internal security operations sa iba’t-ibang panig ng bansa.

Ang Blue Alert status ay nangangahulugan na 50-percent ng kanilang buong pwersa ang on-call for deployment sakaling magkaroon ng anumang uri ng emergencies.

Pangungunahan naman ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang pagbibigay ng seguridad sa mga delegado ng APEC summit.

Sinabi ni PNP Chief Ricardo Marquez na aabot sa 24,000 PNP personnel ang kanilang ikakalat sa buong Metro Manila habang ginaganap ang summit.

Samantala, pamumunuan ng Presidential Security Group (PSG) ang pagbibigay ng seguridad sa 21 economic leaders na mangunguna sa gagawing pulong.
