Napili ng Cambridge Dictionary ang salitang “nomophobia” bilang word of the year.
Ang “nomophobia” ay isang pakiramdam ng takot kapag wala o hindi magagamit ang mobile phone.
Pinagbatayan ng Cambridge Dictionary ang sagot mula sa blog readers at social media followers na pinapili sa kanilang inilabas na shortlist.
Ang mga salitang napasama sa shortlist ay ang “gender gap,” “ecocide” at “no-platforming.”
Napili ang shortlist choices mula sa mga bagong naidagdag sa naturang diksyunaryo.
