Walang Pinoy na nasaktan sa mag. 7 na lindol sa Alaska – DFA
Walang Pilipinong nasaktan sa malakas na lindol na tumama sa Alaska.
Ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), naka-monitor sila ngayon sa sitwasyon sa Anchorage kasunod ng magnitude 7 na lindol, Biyernes ng umaga, sa Alaska.
Sinabi ng Philippine Consulate General sa San Francisco na may hurisdiksyon sa Alaska, tuloy ang kanilang pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga lider ng Filipino community sa Anchorage.
Humingi na rin ang consulate general sa Office of Foreign Missions ng Department of State ng Alaska ng impormasyon ng mga naapektuhan Pinoy.
Sa datos na hawak ni Consul General Henry Bensurto, mayroong mahigit na 25,000 miyembro ng Filipino community sa Alaska.
Kaugnay nito, pinayuhan ni Bensurto ang Filipino community sa Anchorage na maghanda sa posibleng aftershocks, manatili sa ligtas na lugar at pansamantalang umiwas sa pagbiyahe.
