Uumpisahan na ang modernisasyon sa Ozamiz Airport sa Misamis Occidental.
Kahapon, araw ng Miyerkules, Nov. 28, pinangunahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang groundbreaking ceremony para sa modernization project sa nasabing paliparan na nasa Barangay Labo, Ozamiz City.
Ang proyekto ay nagkakahalaga ng P922-million at bahagi nito ang pagtatayo ng bagong passenger terminal building.
Kabilang din sa proyekto ang paglalagay ng aircraft parking apron at taxiways para sa mas maayos na operasyon ng paliparan.
