Bagong HUDCC secretary-general pinangalanan na ng Malacañang
Inilabas na ng Malacañang ang appointment paper ni National Housing Authority acting General Manager Marcelino Escalada Jr. bilang bagong secretary general ng Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).
Pinalitan ni Escalada si Atty. Falconi Millar na sinibak ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte dahil sa ilang isyu ng katiwalian.
Si Escalada rin ang papalit sa dating trabaho ni Villar bilang pointman sa Marawi rehabilitation project.
Nauna nang sinabi Presidential Spokesman Salvado Panelo na “effective immediately” ang utos ng pangulo na pagsibak kay Millar.
“There are no sacred cows in the Administration, especially in its drive against corruption. As the President said, he will not tolerate even a whiff of corruption in the Executive Branch of Government”, ayon kay Panelo.
Gayunman ay tiniyak ng Malacañang na hindi makaka-apekto sa pagbibigay ng serbisyo sa publiko ang pagkakasibak sa secretary-general ng HUDCC.
Dagdag pa ni Panelo, “We assure the public that the delivery of public services shall unimpedely continue, especially in rehabilitating Marawi City and other affected areas”.
Nauna dito ay sinabi ng pangulo na marami pa siyang sisibakin sa pamahalaan dahil sa patuloy na kampanya ng kanyang administrasyon laban sa katiwalian.
