Comelec tatanggap na ng aplikasyon para sa gun ban exemption mula Dec. 1

Naglabas ng rules ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa requirements na kakailanganin para sa gun ban exemption.

Para sa nalalapit na May 2019 elections ay pormal na magsisimula ang election period sa
January 13, 2019 at tatagal hanggang June 12, 2019 kung saan mahigpit na ipinagbabawal ang pagdadala at pagbiyahe ng mga armas at iba pang deadly weapons.

Pero sa Comelec Resolution No. 10446, ang mga kwalipikadong indibidwal ay maaring humiling ng exemption sa gun ban sa pamamagitan ng paghahain ng Certificate of Authority (CA) sa Committee on the Ban on Firearms and Security Personnel (CBFSP) ng Comelec.

Ang mga aplikasyon at requirements para sa exemption ay dapat maisumite sa pagitan ng December 1, 2018 hanggang May 29, 2019.

Kung walang Certificate of Authority, bawal ang pagdadala at pagbiyahe ng baril at iba pang uri ng armas sa kasagsagan ng election period.
