NBI, nagsampa ng kaso sa DOJ laban sa 2nd cousin ni dating Pangulong Noynoy Aquino
Nagsampa ng reklamo ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa Department of Justice (DOJ) laban sa second cousin ni dating Pangulong Noynoy Aquino dahil sa umanoy paglabag sa environmental laws sa Boracay.
Nahaharap ang mga opisyal ng Playa Asya Resort Inc. sa kasong paglabag sa Forestry Code base sa reklamong inahain ng NBI Task Force Boracay.
Respondents sa reklamo sina Ramon O. Cojuangco Jr., president ng Playa Asya na second cousin ni Aquino; Maria Theresa E. Cojuanco, Arturo B. Diago at Ma. Auxiliadora E. Co.
Parehong reklamo rin ang isinampa ng NBI laban sa SkyGarden De Boracay at sa mga opisyal nito na sina Philip L. Chua, Marilyn S. Wong, Fernando A. Soriano at Chinese nationals na sina Yong Wan at Lijuan Wan at sa Kingfisher’s Farm na pag-aari ni Lara Arac-Salaver.
Nakasaad sa reklamo na iligal na sinakop ng naturang mga establisyimento ang forest lands sa isla.
Ang pagtatayo ng permanenteng istraktura sa forest lands sa Boracay ay labag sa batas.
Sinabi naman ni Prosecutor General Richard Fadullon na itatalaga na ang reklamo sa mga prosecutors na magsasagawa ng preliminary investigation.
