“Urgent domestic developments” dahilan ng biglaang pag-uwi ni Duterte mula APEC
Dadaluhan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang lahat ng mga pulong ngayong araw ng Sabado sa Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit sa Papua New Guinea.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na makakaharap ng pangulo sa mga pulong pati ang ilang business leaders mula sa mga bansang kasapi ng Asean.
Ayon kay Panelo, “”The Palace wishes to announce that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will participate in today’s APEC-related events, which include, among others, a dialogue before prominent business leaders during the summit of chief executive officers of the APEC Business Advisory Council or ABAC and a meeting with leaders of the Pacific Islands Forum, capped by a gala dinner in the evening”.
Mamayang gabi ay kaagad ring babalik sa bansa ang pangulo matapos ang gala dinner dagdag pa ni Panelo.
Bukas ng madaling araw ay inaasahang bababa ang sinasakyang eroplano ni Duterte sa Davao City kung saan ay hindi na siya magbibigay ng arrival statement.
“Urgent domestic developments” ang ibinigay na dahilan ni Panelo sa biglaang pagbalik sa bansa ng pangulo.
Para sa mga events bukas sa APEC, si Duterte ay kakatawanin ng mga miyembro ng gabinete.
