Pinangalanan ng Santo Papa si Archbishop Charles Scicluna ng Malta bilang bagong adjunct secretary ng Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
Ang naturang opisina ay ang humahawak sa lahat ng sexual abuse cases sa buong mundo.
Maituturing na symbolic ang bagong appointment ni Scicluna dahil sa itinuturing na krisis na nararanasan ng congregation ng mga pari buhat ng mga ulat ng sexual abuse ng marami sa kanilang hanay.
Bago nanilbihan bilang obispo sa Malta noong 2012, nanungkulan muna si Scicluna bilang chief prosecutor ng Vatican.
