PAL sinimulan na ang non-stop flight papuntang New York
Nagsimula na ang Philippine Airlines ng kanilang non-stop direct flight papunta sa New York City.
Inilunsad noong Oktubre 29, 2018 ang nasabing byahe ng Philippine Airlines gamit ang bagong 295-seater na Airbus A350-900.
Ang naturang 16-hour non-stop flight na isa sa pinaka-mahabang byahe ng PAL ay magbibigay ng benepisyo para sa mga biyahero na papunta sa New York, New Jersey at Connecticut.
“The maiden nonstop 16 hour Manila-New York journey will usher in a long-haul travel experience marked by comfort, convenience and efficiency,” ayon kay PAL President at COO Jaime Bautista.
Ang Manila-New York flights ay mayroong apat na byahe kada linggo, tuwing Lunes, Martes, Huwebes at Sabado.
Samantala, ang New York-Manila flights naman ay may byahe tuwing mga araw ng Martes, Miyerkules, Byernes at Linggo.
Simula sa December 6, ay magiging lima na ang rutang Manila-New York dahil magiging available na rin ito tuwing araw ng Miyerkules.
Ipinaliwanag pa ni Bautista na dahil sa nasabing direct flight ay malaki ang matitipid na oras ng mga turista at balikbayan dahil hindi na nila kailangan pang dumaan sa Canada, West Coast at ilang bansa sa Asia.
