Paghuli kay Vic Ladlad legal ayon sa Malacañang
Nilinaw ng Malacañang na walang mali sa ginawang pag-aresto sa kay National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) consultant Vic Ladlad ng mga operatiba ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na suspendido na ang Joint Agreement on Safety and Immunity Guarantees (JASIG) kaya inaresto si Ladlad na nahaharap sa iba’t ibang kaso.
Kabilang dito ang kasong murder kaugnay sa pagpatay umano sa mga dati niyang kasamahan sa New People’s Army (NPA).
Ayon sa kalihim, “There has been an announcement by the President even last year about the arrest of these people given the proclamation that the peace talks have ended.”
Dahil hindi natuloy ang peace talk kaya tuloy pa rin ang kaso laban sa grupo ni Ladlad tulad ng rebelyon na isang continuing crime ayon pa kay Panelo.
Sa isinagawang raid kaninang madaling-araw sa safehouse ni Ladlad ay nakakuha ang mga tauhan ng CIDG ng ilang high-powered firearms at mga dokumento.
Nauna dito ay nahuli rin ang isa pang lider ng komunistang grupo na si Rafael Baylosis dahil sa kasong illegal possession of firearms.
