Kinumpirma ni Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea na si Sen. Gringo Honasan na ang susunod na kalihim ng
Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
Sa panayam sa inagurasyon ng Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), kinumpirma ni Medialdea ang
pagkatalaga kay Honasan bilang bagong DICT Secretary.
Ayon kay Medialdea, hintayin na lamang ang appointment paper ni Honasan kapalit ni Scting DICT Secretary Eliseo Rio.
Una rito ay sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo na posibleng ianunsyo ang appointment ni Honasan sa
pulong ng gabinete.
Ang pagkatalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa last-termer Senator na pamunuan ang DICT ay sa gitna ng pagpili ng
gobyerno sa 3rd telco player na magtatanggal ng dupoly ng PLDT at Globe telecom.
