Bago bumalik sa Australia Duterte muling binatikos ni Sister Patricia Fox
Bago tuluyang iwan ang bansa ay muling binatikos ni Australian missionary Sister Patricia Fox ang administrasyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Sinabi ni 71-anyos na si Fox na hindi dapat magbulag-bulagan ang mga Pinoy at hindi rin dapat manahimik sa maraming kaso ng human rights violation at Extra-judicial killing sa bansa.
“This challenge is very relevant in our current situation. In ‘Evangelii Gaudium,’ Pope Francis states: ‘The pastoral challenge I see now to the church and all people of good will today—not to be silent in the face of massive human rights violations…The times call for us to ‘wake up the world’ as Pope Francis asks,” ayon sa pahayag ni Fox na 27 taon nang nakabase sa bansa.
Isang misa ang dinaluhan ni Fox na dinaluhan ng mga lider ng iba’t ibang mga militanteng grupo.
Magugunitang ipinag-utos ng pangulo ang pagpapalayas kay Fox dahil sa pakikisawsaw nito sa ilang mga usaping-pulitikal.
Ngayong araw magtatapos ang temporary visa na ibinigay sa nasabing madre makaraang ipawalang-bisa ng Bureau of Immigration ang kanyang missionary visa.
Sa kanyang pagsasalita makaraan ang misa ay binatikos rin ng madre pati na ang isinusulong na charter change ng gobyerno.
Ayon kay Fox, “Charter change threatens to institutionalize dictatorship. The Church and church people have come under attack with priests even being killed in front of the altar”.
Mamayang alas-nueve ng gabi ay babalik na sa Melbourne si Fox sakay ng eroplano ng Philippine Airlines.
