Pelikulang ‘Mandirigma’ ni Arlyn dela Cruz, pasok sa New Wave competition sa Metro Manila Film Fest

mandirigmaInilabas na ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang mga nakapasok sa New Wave competition ng Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) ngayong taon.

Tatlong kategorya ang bumubuo sa MMFF New Wave competition na kinabibilangan ng Full Feature, Animation at Short Film.

Pasok sa Full Feature category ang mga pelikulang ‘Mandirigma’ ni Arlyn Dela Cruz na nasa ilalim ng Blank Pages Production, ‘Ari’ ni Carlo Enciso ng Holy Angel University, ‘Tandem’ ni King Palisoc ng Quantum Films, Inc., ‘Toto’ ni John Paul Su ng Toto SCM Production and Central Digital Lab at ‘Turo-Turo’ ni Ray Ann Dulay ng Hand Held Entertainment Production.

Kabilang naman sa nakapasok sa Short Film category ang mga pelikulang ‘Daisy’ ni Bryan Reyes ng Colegio de San Lorenzo, ‘Ding Mangasyas (Tough Guys)’ ni Justine Emmanuel Dizon ng Kayumanggi Pictures, ‘Lapis’ ni Maricel Cariaga ng Center Stage Productions, ‘Momento’ ni Jan-Kyle Nieva ng UP-Film Institute at ‘Mumu’ ni Jean Cheryl Tagyamon ng UP Diliman.

Sa Animation category naman ay nakapasok ang mga pelikulang ‘8’ ni Johanna Kaye Boncodin ng Ateneo de Naga, ‘Buttons’ nina Marvel Obemio, Francis Ramirez at Jared Garcia ng De La Salle College of Saint Benilde at Toonbro Animation Studio, ‘Geo’ ni John Aurthur Mercader ng Puppeteer Animation Studio, ‘Little Lights’ ni Rivelle Mallari at ‘Marvino’s League of Superheroes’ ni Ja Marti Escandor ng Ateneo de Naga.

Mapapanood ang mga nasabing pelikula sa December 17 hanggang 24 sa mga sinehan ng SM Megamall, Glorietta 4 at Robinsons Ermita.

Ang New Wave category ng MMFF ay inilunsad upang magbigay ng pagkakataon sa mga independent at student filmmakers na maipakita ang kanilang mga sariling gawang pelikula.
